Keeping Neurodiverse Loved Ones Calm During Easter Holidays
Easter can be an exciting time filled with family gatherings, special meals, and festive activities. But for neurodiverse individuals—such as those with autism, ADHD, or sensory sensitivities—the sudden changes in routine, new environments, and increased social interaction can be overwhelming. A little extra preparation and some thoughtful strategies can help create a calm, enjoyable Easter for everyone involved.
Celebrating International Women’s Day at the Ballina RSL
This March, Sistability proudly participated in the International Women’s Day Luncheon at the Ballina RSL—an inspiring gathering that brought together community leaders, business owners, and local residents to celebrate the achievements of women and discuss important issues surrounding gender equality. As a female-founded, locally owned business, Sistability’s mission aligns closely with these goals. We’ve always believed in empowering women, whether by providing meaningful employment opportunities, supporting mothers returning to the workforce, or creating a culture where women can thrive personally and professionally. Being part of the International Women’s Day Luncheon felt like a natural extension of our core values and a chance to share our story.

What happens if you don’t use your allocated NDIS funds?
Once your current NDIS plan ends, your funds stop. And any unspent funding will NOT roll over into your new plan.
After each plan review, you will receive a new plan outlining supports and funds for the next period of time. While you have the choice and control to spend your funds strategically throughout the year, you cannot roll over unspent money.
What does this mean for you? Simply put, use it or lose it!
What is considered ‘reasonable’ and ‘necessary’ when it comes to NDIS funding?
The NDIS will only fund supports that it considers reasonable and necessary. So, is cleaning considered ‘reasonable and necessary’? Read on to find out more
